U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement provided a new statement Thursday regarding a collision involving an ICE vehicle and a pedestrian, after the Woodland Police Department disputed the agency's initial account of the incident."This individual chose to directly impede a law enforcement action and stand in the middle of an active road. Our officers deliberately attempted to avoid making contact with this anti-ice protestor and drive around him, while also braking," the updated statement from ICE said. "We strongly urge individuals to not stand in the middle of active roadways while a law enforcement vehicle is approaching."The collision occurred on Oct. 20 during an ICE operation in the area of Locust and Clover streets in Woodland. The pedestrian, Antonio Moreida, suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital according to police. In a statement Wednesday, Woodland police said investigators reviewing footage of the incident determined Moreida did not jump onto the hood
