UND QB Jerry Kaminski warming up ahead of South Dakota State matchup

GRAND FORKS — UND starting quarterback Jerry Kaminski is warming up on the Alerus Center turf Saturday morning as the Fighting Hawks prepare to take on No. 1 South Dakota State. The Fighting Hawks and Jackrabbits kick off at 1 p.m. Kaminski hurt his ankle in the second half of UND's loss last Saturday at Northern Iowa. He spent most of the fourth quarter on crutches and in a protective boot. UND head coach Eric Schmidt categorized Kaminski's injury as week-to-week during UND's weekly press conference Monday. The Hawks spent the week also preparing Javance Tupou'ata-Johnson at quarterback in case Kaminski is unable to play against SDSU. ]]>
